The clinical staff is focused on remaining flexible to accommodate the special needs and concerns of the patient population.
Due to the complex nature of required treatments surrounding care provided in the Burn Center, the following guidelines apply:

USAISR Research Visitors
Every year USAISR receives many kinds of visitors - medical and nursing students, National Research Council visitors, and scientific seminar guest speakers - to name just a few. It is USAISR policy that visitors may come only upon invitation by the USAISR Commander. If you desire to visit our facility, please direct your request to:

New civilian or contract employees check in at the front desk and inform the receptionist that they wish to in-process as a new employee. They will then be directed to the Personnel Management Branch for completion of in-processing paperwork. All new employees should bring with them any paperwork they have received from the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center or their contracting agency.
Military Permanent Change of Station (PCS) to USAISR
INPROCESSING:
Upon arrival at Fort Sam Houston during duty hours (0730-1630), you will be required to sign in at USAISR, Building 3611, ISR Company PAC office, phone number (210) 539-4340 / 8438 / 4237. GUEST LODGING: Fort Sam Houston has a guest house for temporary lodging. For reservations, call Army Lodging 0730-1600 at 1-800-462-7691 or (210) 357-2705, ext 5006. If the guest house is full, relocating personnel should obtain a non-availability statement before making reservations for off-post hotels or motels. HOUSING: On-post housing is authorized for E-4 and above, but availability varies throughout the year. The average wait time for housing on Fort Sam Houston is approximately 12 months. From I-10 South merge onto NE I-410 Loop. After 10 miles I-410 will merge with I-35 South. Travel for another 3.5 miles and take Exit 162, Brooke Army Medical Center/Binz-Englemann Rd. At the end of the exit ramp turn right and enter the George C. Beach Ave Gate.
From I-10 North merge onto I-35 North. Travel for 10 miles and take Exit 162, Brooke Army Medical Center/Binz-Englemann Rd. At the end of the exit ramp turn left and enter the George C. Beach Ave Gate.
Exit Airport Blvd onto NE I-410 Loop. After 5 miles I-410 will merge with I-35 South. Travel for another 3.5 miles and take Exit 162, Brooke Army Medical Center/ Binz-Englemann Rd. At the end of the exit ramp turn right and enter the George C. Beach Ave Gate.
This gate is open 24 hours and persons entering will only have access to BAMC. All occupants of vehicles (over the age of 16) are required to present current photo identification with an expiration date. Example:
